a love story that transcends time...

In the midst of hostile relations between Egypt and Nubia, Princess Aida of Nubia gets captured and taken to Egypt as a slave. There she meets the Captain of the Egyptian army Radames, who is engaged to the fasion loving princess Amneris. Egypt's future seemed set; however, once Aida comes into the picture, everyones destinies are thrown into a loop and become something no one could ever have imagined. Love and loyalties are tested in this wonderful musical masterpiece known as Aida.

About Next Act

Next Act is a student theatre group at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology dedicated to presenting an annual full-length musical production during MIT's Campus Preview Weekend each spring. We seek to serve as a portal into the world of musical theatre for veterans and beginners alike. Therefore, anyone who auditions for a Next Act production is guaranteed to be cast in a speaking-role, regardless of experience. All members of the MIT community are eligible to participate in our productions.
